fly fishingThe Middle Fork of the Salmon River is one of the premier trout streams in the West,  a true "blue ribbon"  fishery that offers an almost endless stretch of pools and riffles to cast your fly. The Middle Fork has aggressive cutthroat and rainbow trout that are eager to take dry flies.  "50 fish days" for a boat are common with the average size fish between 12-15 inches. Beginning in late June the river really begins to take shape and the fishing truly gets unreal, becoming a dry fly fisherman's dream. During the summer months the Middle Fork runs as a crystal clear free stone river providing a succession of perfect spots for fly fisherman to try for native Rainbows and West Slope Cutthroats, known locally as “red-sides.” A fishing boat can be charted on any of our launches and we guarantee you a first class angling experience.

The Middle Fork is the Best Fly Fishing Trips in the West !!!

For the ultimate in wilderness angling, join one of our custom September fishing trips. Custom fishing tours use oar framed boats that are specifically designed to fish two at a time with casting platforms in the bow and stern. To guarantee personal service, we limit trips to 12 people. So come enjoy a private, blue-ribbon wilderness fishing experience on the spectacular Middle Fork of the Salmon River, its a trip you will never forget.

A private fishing boat can be chartered on any of our trips.

Fishing Licenses can be purchased at McCoy's Tackle in Stanley, ID

All fishing is catch and release with barbless hooks.
