Fun and exciting, the Middle Fork of the Salmon River offers a new rapid or riffle around every corner. It is a wonderfully diverse river with whitewater ranging from long technical rapids that require precise maneuvering, to exhilarating drops at Velvet and Tappan Falls, to the heart-pounding big waves of the Impassable Canyon. There are over 80 rapids in all with the largest being class IV.

Middle Fork River Tours offers state-of-the-art equipment to challenge the rapids of the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. All of our rafts are self-bailing and are made specifically for the demands of whitewater. Because we want all of our guests to experience the Middle Fork of the Salmon River at their own comfort level, three types of rafts are provided. On any trip you can sit back and relax in an oar boat maneuvered by the guide, grab a paddle and join the team work in a paddle boat, or test your skills in one of our inflatable kayaks. For fishing enthusiasts, we also provide drift boats upon request.
